Signs and Symptoms of Menopause

There comes a moment where each female needs to deal with what she dreads of in her life- that is menopause. It is hard to describe how fearful when females are facing with menopause symptoms.

Even before the onset of menopause, one has to undergo intolerable signs and symptoms of menopause. No two females will experience them the same. For some women their menstrual cycles may impact their lives differently with the cycle being irregular, unpredictable and the flow different than what they had previously experienced.

You may have come across the antics of the menopausal females both on the screen and the cinema with a dramatization of a matured female fanning herself frantically as a result of the drastic changes caused from menopause and having to endure the constant hot flashes. Although this is a dramatization, it is not far from the truth.

In the twilight of a female’s fertile year, psychologically, a female will definitely feel distressed or/and bewildered while facing the onset of menopause. The signs and symptoms of menopause in reality are not a laughing matter as they can be a part of a physical manifestation with unimaginable symptoms.

There comes a moment where each female needs to deal with what she dreads of in her life- that is menopause. It is hard to describe how fearful when females are facing with menopause symptoms. While approaching the onset of menopause, the females feel extremely afraid that they will age very fast. The approaching of menopause also throws spells in their minds that they may experience other chronic diseases including cancer, diabetes, stroke, and etc.

As mentioned earlier, no two women will experience the same consequence, especially when it comes to menopause. The decreasing hormone levels, in some women, accompanying with menopause always trigger the challenging symptoms and signs of varying type of severity that is difficult to deal with. Both signs and symptoms can include:

  • Heart palpitations
  • Headache
  • Irregular periods
  • Sleep problems
  • Night sweats
  • Join pains and aches
  • Decreased libido
  • Racing or pounding heartbeat
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Increased abdominal fat
  • Hair loss
  • Incontinence
  • Hot flashes
  • Mood swings or changes, including anxiety, depression, and irritability
  • Skin flushing
  • Loss of breast fullness
  • Vaginal infections

In fact, the symptoms of menopause may occur for at least a year or two. In certain cases, they may even last for up to five years. Lifestyle and diet adjustment can be the good news for menopausal women as the adjustments can go a long way to help relieve some of symptoms mentioned here, along with medication as a possible solution.

Undoubtedly, successful symptoms handling can spell the return of the quality of life. However, this management does not entirely end here. Still, appropriate measures must be taken during the menopausal periods to help ensure good health.
